Grief is the natural emotional response to the loss of someone close, such as a family member, friend or a pet. Grief can also occur after a serious illness, job loss, a divorce or other significant losses.
Grief stirs up countless complex emotions, and there is no way to prepare to grieve and some people struggle with grief for prolonged periods without improvement, and as a result, their ability to carry on with daily activities is disrupted.
Grief and loss counselling is a type of therapy that is designed to help individuals cope with the emotional pain and stress that can arise from a significant loss in their life.
