Hello
"At times we all get stuck and need some help.
My aim is to support people explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and understand their triggers. Through this process people grow to be their true selves."

About Maryanne
Maryanne is a highly regarded and accomplished counsellor who is passionate about supporting the growth and personal development of her clients. Maryanne holds membership with the Australian Counselling Association and is driven by seeing clients overcome the challenges they face, finding happiness, and creating a better and more peaceful future.

Maryanne is respectful of her clients, their views, and understands that everyone is unique, as is their situation. Maryanne’s approach to counselling is based on building trust as she believes that truly knowing her clients leads to successful outcomes. Maryanne works with her clients to help them find their strengths, recognise their true qualities, triggers, resources and supports. With a person-centred approach, Maryanne then empowers and encourages her clients to explore what they want, where they are in their life, and where they want to be. Maryanne helps them identify their goals, develop strategies and solutions and is there to provide support, guidance, reassurance, and positivity.

All clients are diverse and so sessions are tailored by Maryanne to each person and their individual needs and desired outcomes. She uses a mix of evidence-based modalities during sessions, including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness exercises, trauma informed techniques, somatic-based interventions, and expressive therapies. Using these techniques, Maryanne empowers her clients understand and make sense of their situation so that they may free themselves from the weight they may have been carrying around, achieve personal growth and identify a way forward for a happier future.
